How to use a custom domain with Membree
Connect a custom domain, configure DNS records, and choose the academy’s primary address.
Open Domain in the organization, select Connect custom domain, and enter the address. Add the DNS records shown, refresh the status, and wait for address and certificate verification. When the domain is Active, you can make it primary and access the academy through your own address.

Prepare the address and DNS access
Have a registered domain and access to the service managing its DNS records. Choose the full address you want to use, such as a subdomain dedicated to the academy, to make the address you will share clear.
Select the correct organization and check Plan and billing for current domain conditions. Registering the domain in Membree and buying the address from a registrar are separate steps.
Your Club already has an address available without a custom domain. Use that address while preparing the connection, keeping promotional materials aligned with the address that already works.
Connect the domain and complete verification
Membree uses Cloudflare to verify the address and provision the certificate. The records shown are specific to the connection you created.
- Open Domain in the organization and select Connect custom domain. Enter the hostname you want to use and confirm with Connect domain.
- Find the records shown for Ownership verification, Certificate verification, and Organization routing. Check each record’s name, type, and value.
- Add the records in the DNS service managing that address. Copy the values shown for your connection rather than reusing instructions for another domain.
- After saving DNS, return to Membree and select Refresh status. Record propagation and certificate provisioning can take time.
- Wait for Active status. Both the address and SSL must be active; pending verification does not mean the connection is ready to share.
- Select Make primary when you want to prioritize that address. Use Open organization to check its destination and update promotional links after reviewing it.
Check the address, certificate, and content
Open the domain with HTTPS and check that it shows the correct academy. Review the name, storefront, and products before including the address in campaigns, messages, or course materials.
Use an authorized account to check course access through the connected address. If you share a product or checkout page, also review that link’s destination and the product shown.
Check which domain is marked Primary and whether it is enabled. Adding an address does not mean it is already verified or selected as primary; each step has its own state.
Resolve pending checks before sharing
If the status stays pending, check ownership and certificate records and the routing destination. Preserve settings for other domain services while adjusting the records requested for the academy.
A verification failure requires reviewing the information shown in the connection. The process depends on DNS and provider provisioning, so there is no guaranteed instant completion time.
Disabling or removing a domain changes the academy’s available addresses. Before making that change, review links already shared and check the primary domain and Club address.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a custom domain to get started?
No. Your Club has an address available without a custom domain. You can connect your own address later, subject to plan conditions.
Why is my domain still pending?
Activation depends on DNS records and hostname and SSL certificate verification. Check the values shown and use Refresh status after configuring DNS.
Who can manage the organization’s domain?
The organization owner manages the connection. Access to the DNS service managing the chosen address is also required.
